Hi everyone,
Get your library cards ready or check your local bookstore, the book for June is “Renegade: The Making of a President” by Richard Wolffe.
The book is about the inside of President Obama's campaign, written in a style similar to that of “The Making of the President, 1960” by Theodore White who wrote about JFK’s campaign. This book JUST came out last Tuesday so it should be easy to find at major book stores (I found my copy at Borders in Mesquite).
If you are having difficulty finding the book, consider ordering it from Amazon.
We are planning to discuss the book in full at the July 7th meeting so don’t delay, this should be an exciting read! Also start thinking about ideas for books to read in the future – each month we will be choosing a new book to read, and your favorite could become our Book of the Month!

This is also a great time to socialize! As always, if you have work or a conflicting event that doesn’t allow you to arrive at this time, feel free to come whenever you can!
