If you are planning to file as a candidate in the 2012 Democratic Primary, here is some information you will need:
First, check the list of positions up for election on the Secretary of State's website and decide what you are running for.
Second, determine if the district for the position you are running for is in multiple counties. If so, you will need to file directly with the Texas Democratic Party in Austin - Contact them with any questions regarding which map you would be filing under, etc...
(You may want to check the listing of current filings to see if you will have an opponent)
Now, learn more about being a Democratic candidate in the TDP's Candidate Resources section of their website.
If you are filing for a position within Rockwall County, you will file directly with us, the Rockwall County Democratic Party! You will need to be sure to fill out the form (be sure it's notarized!), have the required filing fee (or signatures) and deliver it to our Democratic County Chair, Terri StClair.
