RCDP Monthly Breakfast

Where:    Community Center, Harry Myers Park, 815 E Washington, Rockwall, TX

All are welcome and a free continental breakfast will be provided.

Recyclables Collection:

Due to popular demand, we will be continuing our Recyclables Collection - contact us if you need more information about what we collect or where we take it!

RCDP Community Service Project

Please remember to bring your donations to ANY of our events in November!!!

Royse City Animal Shelter!!

The RCDP Community Service Committee is continuing our efforts to help out the Royse City Animal Shelter throughout the month of November.

The Royse City Animal Shelter has had it's budget cut by 75% and is in need of many upgrades.  If you are interested in helping donate money or time to helping with these improvements, please contact us ASAP.  Our goal is to raise approximately $200 to help buy paint and set up a day at the shelter for a "Paint Party"!  We are not quite halfway to our goal, so we ask that you consider bringing a donation to the monthly breakfast.

We'll also be collecting supplies at this month's breakfast meeting - for more information about the shelter's "wish list" please check out the Community Service page.

Democratic Governor Candidate Forum - Wednesday!!

The following is an announcement from the Tarrant County Young Democrats - This event is open to all Democrats interested in attending, so please consider heading to TCU on Wednesday to hear from the major Democratic Gubenatorial candidates!

Announcement: Texas Governor’s Race 2010: Democratic Candidates Forum, Fort Worth

Tarrant Young Democrats and TCU College Democrats are presenting this cycles’ first Gubernatorial Candidates Forum. (That’s a lot like a debate). Texas Christian University has agreed to host the event at the brand new student center ballroom on Wednesday, November 18th, at 7PM.

All of the declared candidates who are running a legitimate campaign that we’ve been able to contact have been invited, and most campaigns have already committed. Committed candidates will be announced once our internal deadline has passed for commitments to be received.

All Young Democrats and College Democrats in the area are encouraged to attend. The event will be open to everybody who is interested. It’s a large venue, but, ‘First Come, First Seated’ applies.

When: Wednesday, November 18th @ 7PM

Where: Texas Christian University Student Center,

The Horned Frog Ballroom, 3rd Floor, North.

The forum will last approximately 90 minutes.A moderator panel will be present. All candidates will be given an opportunity in a fairly selected order to respond.

Students will have an opportunity to ask 3 of the issues questions of the candidates. You may submit your questions at any time. Please commit to being present at the forum, otherwise an alternate will be given the opportunity.

Today is Election Day!  Go VOTE!!

Don't forget that today is Election Day, so be sure to get out there and vote on the 11 proposed TX Constitutional Amendments, and if you are a resident of the City of Fate your voice needs to also be heard on the issue of alcohol sales!!
